So it has been approximately 1,258 days in quarantine, and thus since my last post.  The number of beers has not been as astronomical since March 10 as it should be, as I have been drinking a lot of the same beers over and over - the best that my local liquor store has to prevent me from travelling all over town just for new beers.  The plus side - two new breweries have opened up in the past month, and these two are now the closest to my house.  And although I am not technically allowed to have gone inside since bars and breweries are closed, I have ventured inside to order growlers/crowlers to go, so I have had the chance to try some new beers.  I will definitely patronize these places again to include them in the brewery rankings.

And, since it has been so long, all of my memories of each beer has faded some, so other than my really concise notes, the analysis on most of these will also be quick, but to me this has been all about the rankings anyway.

With these caveats, here we go ...

110.  Curse of the Irish Red Ale - Due South Brewing - Boynton Beach, FL - Great White - Lost Coast Brewing - Eureka, CA - 5.4% ABV

I love Due South the brewery and I love a lot - and I mean a lot - of their beers.  Just not this one.  My succinct note says simply, "Booooooo".  This beer is definitely cursed.

111.  Can-O-Bliss Tropical IPA (Hazy IPA) - Oskar Blues Brewing - Boulder, CO - 7.2% ABV

This hazy IPA is a delicious takeoff of Oskar Blues' Tropical IPA, and even though first brewed and marketed in 2019, this has the ability to stay if it can find a following.  Delicious.

112.  Imperial - Lager - Coasta Rica - 4.5% ABV

This is a great beer if you are relaxing at an outdoor venue on the water, which is exactly where I had some two days before restaurants/bars closed down here.  For what its worth, it is the world's first water positive beer.

113.  Ambar [sic]- Dos Equis - Imperial - Lager - Coasta Rica - 4.7% ABV

The perfect beer at a Mexican restaurant that does not carry a large selection of craft beers - and that is exactly from where this came.  Pairs perfectly with a huge chicken enchilada.

114.  Channel Marker IPA - Islamorada Beer Co. - Islamorada, FL - 5.18% ABV

Islamorada Beer Co. calls this a Session IPA, which is interesting because it has no flavor, and it tastes neither like a Session, or an IPA, much less a Session IPA.

115.  PG Rated Papaya/Guava New England IPA - Twisted Trunk Brewing - Palm Beach Gardens, FL  7.3% ABV

This sounds like it has a lot going on, and it does.  The Caribbean fruits are a refreshing take on a usually pulpy type of NEIPA.  I wouldn't drink this a lot, but for a change of pace - very nice.

116.  Haze-a-Licious NE Double Hopped IPA - Twisted Trunk Brewing - Palm Beach Gardens, FL  

Not my bag, as evidenced by the fact that I didn't even take notes on the ABV, knowing I am doing this blog.

117.  Marine Dream New England Pale Ale - Coronado Brewing - San Diego, CA - 6.1% ABV

Very good taste for a combination of the New England style with just a pale ale, rather than an IPA.  I would have this again.

118.  Chant (Session) IPA - Funky Buddha Brewing - Oakland Park, FL - 4.2% ABV

Low calorie IPA that tastes just like it.

119.  Krombacher Pils - Krombacher Braurei - Krombacher, Germany - 4.8% ABV

An easy drinking Pilsner, which is what Pilsners are supposed to be.

120.  Tag and Release Amber - Sailfish Brewing - Ft. Pierce, FL - 5.9% ABV

This Amber is smooth and delicious.  Always my go to at this brewery.

121.  White Marlin Wit - Sailfish Brewing - Ft. Pierce, FL - 5.0% ABV

This is a very good wit, with enough refreshingness (copyright pending) to make you want more.

122.  Welcome to Ft. Pierce IPA - Sailfish Brewing - Ft. Pierce, FL

This, according to my notes, was +++.  A lot of Sailfish Brewing in a row, but it isn't because I was able to attend, but because the local liquor store had a 25% off all Florida craft beers.  I took advantage.

123.  Stout - Barrel of Monks - Boca Raton, FL - 10.5% ABV

This beer is dense, packs a lot of flavor, and packs a wallop.

124.  All Day IPA - Founders Brewing - Grand Rapids, MI - 4.7% ABV

This is one of my go-to favorites, lots of flavor more than others, but not quite the same level of some of the others which are not as widely available.

125.  Tocabaga Red Ale - Cigar City Brewing - Tampa, FL - 7.4% ABV

Cigar City calls this a Red IPA, most classify it as an Amber.  Either way, it is delicious.  For purposes of this blog, I am classifying it as an amber.

126.  Sola IPA - Concrete Beach Brewing - Miami (Wynwood), FL - 6.8% ABV

This is really good and tangy.  Highly recommend.

127.  Paloma Barrel Aged Mixology Series - Funky Buddha - Oakland Park, FL - 10% ABV

Really good and very heavy.  Going to make a new category for this one, as it is barrel aged, but based upon the mix drink of the same name - not a traditional beer style.

128.  Screamin Reels IPA - Saltwater Brewing - Delray Beach, FL - 7.0% 

Solid, definitely not spectacular.

129.  Category 5 IPA - Due South Brewing - Boynton Beach, FL - 8.5% ABV

Really good.  For a brewery that is known for its Caramel Cream Ale and the less heavy Category 3 IPA, this is even better than both of those.

130.  Ivory Stout (White Stout) - Brew Link Brewing - Plainfield, IN - 4.8% ABV

This was selected for me by one of my local bartenders, and I was not expecting it to be a white stout (the name was never mentioned), and looks can indeed be deceiving.  This beer packs as much punch as a darker stout, and has a lot of flavor, even with its relatively low ABV.

131.    IPA1A - 26 Degrees Brewing - Pompano Beach, FL - 6.4% ABV

This is a solid beer, made even better by its inclusion of Sebastian the Ibis on its cans.

132.  Blood Orange Belgian Wit - Shipyard Brewing - Portland, ME - 5.1% ABV

Lucky for me I live in Florida because this beer apparently is only available in Florida via its secondary brewery near Disney World.  Delicious!!!

133.  Lil' Sumpin' Sumpin' Ale - Lagunitas Brewing - Petaluma, CA - 7.4% ABV

So I ordered this from a bartender one time, who was offended that I ordered "a lil sumpin sumpin" from her, chastising me - and all guys - for thinking we can get away with whatever we want and say whatever we want just because a bartender is attractive and she has to serve us while on duty.  She didn't apologize when I told her it was the actual name of the beer.

134.  Monkey Fist IPA - Shipyard Brewing - Portland, ME - 5.1% ABV

Not only is this delicious, but it is also fun to order.  A Monkey Fist.  Just think about ordering a few successive Monkey Fists!

135.  Sandbar Sunday Wheat - Islamorada Beer Company - Islamorada, FL - 4.75% ABV

Refreshing, with a little flavor.  Not a lot, but a little.

136.  Maduro Brown Ale - Cigar City Brewing - Tampa, FL - 5.5% ABV

Named after a deep, flavorful cigar, this is one amazing English Brown Ale.

137.  Swamp Ape Double IPA - Florida Beer Company - Cape Canaveral, FL - 10% ABV

Boy is this an amazing double IPA, but make sure you have a full stomach before you decide to have more than 3.  Boy do I have a story on this, but will save that for another time.

138.  Mangolandia Blonde Ale - Veza Sur Brewing - Miami (Wynwood), FL - 4.8%

The Mango flavoring ads a lot of flavor to this blonde.  I will certainly have lots more of this.

139.  Rose Ale - Concrete Beach Brewing - Miami (Wynwood), FL - 6.2% ABV

Technically classified as a red ale, this tastes more like a rose champagne than a beer.  Since the brewery classifies it as a red ale, I will as well.  Really lowly.

140.  Voodoo Ranger Imperial IPA - New Belgian Brewing - Ft. Collins, CO - 9.0% ABV

Solid, flavorful, and very heavy.

141.  Ma-Honey Bees Saison - Coastal Karma Brewing - Lake Park, FL  6.6% ABV

Brand new brewery, and I tasted several of there selections.  This was by far the best.  Made from locally sourced honey, and it works.  Well.

142.  Karma Hoptra IPA - Coastal Karma Brewing - Lake Park, FL - 6.1% ABV

After having the Saison, I had high, high hopes for this beer.  It did not live up to my hopes.

143.  Reef Road Gose - Coastal Karma Brewing - Lake Park, FL - 3.8% ABV

This was very interesting, and with a super-low ABV I had low expectations - especially given my proclivity against Goses in general.  But this was a very pleasant surprise.

144.  Amber Waves of Grain Amber Kolsch - Coastal Karma Brewing - Lake Park, FL - 5.1% ABV

As an amber, this had no flavor at all.  As a kolsch, it had a little.  For its sake, I will classify it as a kolsch.

145.  Prosperity Farms Belgian Wit - Kelsey City Brewing - Lake Park, FL

This is the second of the new breweries that opened up close to me.  I forgot to note the ABV, and this place is so new that even the website says they are opening soon in Spring 2020.  A pretty good wit, good enough that I will it again likely, but not so good that I wll voluntarily have it a lot.

146.  Reve Coffee Stout - Paris Brewing - Broussard, LA - 7.2% ABV

A healthy, flavorful stout, but heavy.  I cannot drink more than a couple during a siting, but not because it isn't worth it, but because it was heavy.

147.  Sawmill Red IPA - Kelsey City Brewing - Lake Park, FL - 6.0%

I personally feel that we need way more Red IPAs than are currently offered, and this is a valiant attempt.  It is generally OK, and I will have more of it, but I just hope that more breweries give more options so that we can really explore this style. Perhaps enough so that next year I can include this as its own category.

148.  Pineapple Wit - Kelsey City Brewing - Lake Park, FL

Once again, my mistake in forgetting to note the ABV.  This was not very good.  Now, to be fair, after ordering a growler, I might have let it sit a day or two longer than it should have, but I have to take the beer as I drink it.

149.  Quadraphonic - Barrel of Monks - Boca Raton, FL - 10.5%ABV

This is high-octane beer, but it doesn't taste as heavy as the ABV, and the look, would suggest.  Dark and delicious, but more aptly suited for a nice fall or winter evening, but could be great with some vanilla ice cream..

150.  Model Dairy Milk Stout - Kelsey City Brewing - Lake Park, FL

Once again I neglected to post the ABV, but this is a very good stout.  Delicious and worthy of drinking more. It's primary problem is the absolute quality of the stouts that I have drank already.

151.  .Chocolate Starfish Stout - Coastal Karma Brewing

Not as good as the previous beer, but it also suffers from the fact that I have already tasted so many absolutely phenomenal stouts.

152.  BT Oakes Pilsner - Kelsey City Brewing

A much-surprising pilsner named after a local legend, whose murder by stabbing in the Bahamas many decades ago still has yet to be solved.

153.  Space Camper Cosmic IPA - Boulevard Brewing - Kansas City, MO - 5.9%

Delicious and well balanced.  Not too heavy, not too much of bitter aftertaste.  Very good, but won't be ranked very high because of the sheer volume of IPAs that I have already drunk.
