INFINITE ALE WORKS - Brewery number 1

The first (of many) breweries that I have visited this year is: INFINITE ALE WORKS 304 Magnolia Avenue Ocala, FL 34471 352-521-0212 infinitealeworks.com January 26, 2020 For my review, and for rankings, the scale is:  (1) beer quality (taste) (1-20); (2) beer quantity (number available) (1-10); (3) beer varietals (differing types) (1-10); (4) atmosphere (look, feel and vibe) (1-20); (5) service (self-explanatory - hopefully) (1-20); and  (6) miscellaneous (personal preference) (1-20).  This will give me a 100 point scale to reference, and I will keep a running ranking of each of the breweries throughout the year. So, I walked in and the place was very open, with windows along the front and one side - both of which opened up to the streets, as this location sits on a corner in downtown Ocala.  There is limited parking in the other side - only 4 or 5 spots, but you can park in an open, grass and dirt field behind the brewery.  So, parking was not the ideal first impression,

So I look at my beer list, and I really need to do a better job of updating this site more frequently, otherwise this is going to take me a long time to keep updating.  But, here we go. As a reminder, I won't be doing some deep, metaphysical palate discussion of each beer, just a slight description, whether I like or not, any random thoughts, and on occasion, discuss pairings.  I am doing this mostly to keep a running list of the best of each type - according to me. 23.  Party Hat Hazy IPA - Sixpoint Brewery - Brooklyn, NY - 7.0% ABV This is a delicious Hazy IPA, with a lot of flavor, even though it tastes light and is not super cloudy for a hazy.  Its lightness is contributed in part - I imagine - to the fact that it has 0 IBUs, so it is not bitter at all.  If you are looking for that bitter flavor, this is not for you, but otherwise, delicious. 24.  Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout - North Coast Brewing Co. - Fort Bragg, CA - 9.0% ABV DELICIOUS!  Big, bold, rich

Now that my official welcome is over, I now welcome you to my analysis of beers that I have drank in 2020.  My wife and I took a trip with some great friends to Memphis, Tennessee post-Christmas, and stayed through the New Year (returning home January 2).  So, I had the opportunity to drink several Memphis based beers from Memphis Made, Wiseacre, Meddlesome and Ghost River Breweries, but some of those were consumed in 2019.  Being true to my plan to analyze my 2020 beers, some Memphis-area breweries started my drinking journey for this year, just not as many as I imbibed while on the trip.  (Numbers are just sequential for when I drank the beer, not a ranking.  The ranking should be apparent below. Keep in my mind that I won't be doing some deep, metaphysical palate discussion of each beer, just a slight description, whether I like or not, any random thoughts, and on occasion, discuss pairings.  I am doing this mostly to keep a running list of the best of each type - according t

Welcome to my Beer Blog! For years, I have kept a list of each different and distinct beer I have consumed during each calendar year.  After my wife kept asking me what on earth I was doing with that list each year (other than just keeping a running tally), I have decided to catalog, discuss, and rate each of the different beers for 2020.  In addition to my ratings, I will keep a running ranking of each beer by category:  IPAs, stouts, wheats, whites, browns, ambers, souts, etc. In addition, I will be discussing the many different breweries that I hope to visit this year, and rate them on beer quality (taste) (1-20), beer quantity (number available) (1-10), beer varietals (differing types) (1-10), atmosphere (look, feel and vibe) (1-20), service (self-explanatory - hopefully) (1-20) and miscellaneous (personal preference) (1-20).  This will give me a 100 point scale to reference, and I will keep a running ranking of each of the breweries throughout the year. I understand that
